Advanced vision systems for factories and warehouses

In the last 10 years vision has been added to nearly every aspect of automation in factories and warehouses. Along with traditional sensors and monitoring, vision makes possible the automation of much more complex tasks from inspection to more recently assembly. The landscape of offerings is complex but there are a few standouts; Cognex, Keyence dominate but with the advent of AI new startups are beginning to make an impact as the combination of generative AI (not just machine learning) and vision systems has radically increased the application space.
